Daysha and Dan contacted me a few weeks ago after their wedding photographer fell through. They were hoping to find someone on very short notice, and luckily for both of us, I had their date free! While I did not get to meet them personally before the wedding, I felt like I walked away from their day knowing all that really mattered - They are people of strong faith, who are madly in love with each other!
One of my favorite moments of their day, was the special prayer they said together before the ceremony. Dan was blindfolded, and Daysha was behind a wall to make sure they did not see each other, but they held hands and had a special moment before actually seeing each other for the first time.
Their ceremony was held at Gettysburg Foursquare Church in downtown Gettysburg. Dan and Daysha had family from Alaska and Maine come to Pennsylvania for their wedding.
I think one of the most fun facts about these two is that between them, they have five children! These adorable kids range in age from 4 to 11 and were all part of the wedding. I loved seeing the boys playing together, and their daughter helping Daysha prepare.
The reception was held at The Gettysburg Hotel, and while guests made their way to the party, Dan and Daysha stopped outside the church for a few more photos. Afterwards, they took a short private walk together through the square to the hotel.
And some final photos before they entered the reception and celebrating joining their two families together.
Thank you Dan and Daysha for allowing me to be part of your day. It was wonderful to get to know you, and I wish you all the best in your lives together.
